5.6.1.505 is the version of Plex on the Shield that works.

I tried deleting the new app and trying the version from Dec 19. That one is worse, it won’t even show my libraries, just the server name. I went back to the new one.
The player keeps pausing and the timeline is actually stuck.
I got myself the Pro and all my issues are gone.
I’m thinking now to purchase the latest Nvidia Shield Pro. My question is: Does it support Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision if I used it as Plex player ?

dolby vision, is dependent on the type of DV (not all kinds are supported).
you will need to search the forums for dolby vision there are several topics of importance to be aware of.
the primary issue boils down to something like dolby vision ripped from 4k bluray need to be ripped in a special manner and the process is still in the process of being standardized.
Thanks a lot for your reply. I’ve purchased the Nvidia Shield TV Pro…and it did a great job with both Dolby Atmos and DTS X passthrough.
However, I tried to read a lot of discussions in other forums for the DV, and I understood nothing at last unfortunately.
Is there any simple steps to enable DV at Plex on Shield tv pro ? Or it will be a patch or update on Plex app later ?
