I have a laptop setup with Plex Server to stream movies to my new P65X Vizio. I am having the same problem of getting 4K to be streamed to my TV properly. Could you please help me? It plays just fine but when .srt subtitles are enabled, it started to buffer. What’s the best way to fix this?
I’ve been reading for the past 2 hours on a lot of your posts and still could not find a way to troubleshoot the problem.

It sounds like the video is transcoding when you enable subtitles.
However, let’s check things out before coming to any conclusions.
What Plex client are you using? A Plex app on the Vizio, a FireTV, etc.?
Please pull and attach the Plex XML for the movie. See Investigate Media Information and Formats for instructions. Attach the information as a .txt file. The forum does not accept .xml attachments.
Play the movie without subtitles. What is displayed in the Plex Dashboard (Plex Web → Activity → Dashboard)? Is the video & audio direct playing, direct streaming, or transcoding? If needed, click the icon on the right to expand the information displayed ().
Stop playback. Then, play the same movie with subtitles enabled. What is displayed in the Plex Dashboard?
