Hi,
Does any one else having this issues? I have a Roku Ultra player and 4K projector. Plex is transcoding it to HD 1080p, It is doing the same thing on my 4K Samsung TV too.
Plex Media Server Logs_2023-12-29_19-07-46.zip (4.3 MB)
I have tried 4 different movies and they are doing the same thing. Can someone help.
Cheers
I don’t know why it is deciding to do that but have you forced Original Quality in the playback settings?
I think this is indicating the video is HDR “smpte2084” and the device isn’t connected to a HDR display
video.colorTrc limitation applies: smpte2084 != bt709|bt470m|bt470bg|smpte170m|smpte240m|bt2020-10|bt2020-10 [list]
You have another problem I noticed from your screen shot though
hardware transcoding: enabled, but no hardware decode accelerator found
Also check the Roku Ultra video settings (in addition to the Plex app settings).
Hi JaysPlex7,
Thank you for the reply. The main Room I have connect the Roku Ultra to the LG Soundbar,
and the LG Soundbar to Projector
The Master B-Room,
Roku Premiere (4620X) connected to Samsung UHD 4K TV and the TV is connected to Samsung 5.1 Surround system.
Regarding the Hardware transcoding: I have 2 graphic card, not sure why plex see 3 graphic card. RX 580 and GeForce 210 and I always select Auto.
So I am puzzle…
