Setup:
- Mac Mini 2018 - macOS 10.15.5 (set to “default for display”, ie scaled “retina” 1080p display output)
- LG C7 4K connected via HDMI through Denon AVR-X2200w (HDMI passthrough, no filtering of HDMI signal etc.)
Issue:
- When Plex Media player is first launched and a video is played it will always display in a smaller window (see attached screenshot)
- If you go back to the menu and play the same file again it will play normally in full screen
- Any file played after this works normally in full screen (until the display is turned off or Plex Media Player is relaunched)
- If display output is set to native 4K the issue still happens but much more randomly (I cannot easily reproduce as per above)
- I have also tested with the new 3.0.0.32 Plex Media Player which appears to fix the issue however playback in general is much worse (dropped frames are very high for example)
