Hi, so my Nvidia Shield 2017 is not playing a video in the PLEX app, it is a very low quality video which was in AVI, converted it to MKV just in case, but this too does not help…
Please see screenshots, you can see the little circle just spins when playing on tv via Nvidia Plex, but works perfectly on my phone Plex Android app and Plex PC interface… if you look at the screenshots you will see that they are ALL PLEX…
the only thing that is not working is plex on my nvidia to play this very low quality video… its resolution is only 512 x 400 so no or very little transcoding should be even necessary…
@BigWheel I installed plex on my Samsung and LG tv and the videos play perfectly… it just does not play on the Nvidia shield… is this maybe a PMS/Nvidia issue? :’(

Yes I did, and this corrected it… OMW, why, what happened here??? why would that cause this please? I had this on becasue some audio codecs dont play right and have followed the advice of many forums on here to say it must be on forced…
I’m not sure what codec is MSMPEG4V3, but I’m guessing the Shield does not support it. When you try to force direct play a video codec that isn’t supported, this is the result.

What codecs don’t play right with it on auto? They all work bar DTS-HD 6.1.
