I used PHT for a long time and recently tried PMP and it was ok but I didn’t like a few things so now I’m on open PHT and like it better than either of the other two.
One thing that I DID like about PMP was that it was apparently able to work with PMS (so PMS CAN do this and it would apparently be up to the client to cooperate) to transcode 7.1 audio into lossy 7.1 in the opus codec. PHT could not do this and open PHT doesn’t seem to either. It’s nice to have for watching blu ray rips from friends due to bandwidth limitations. Any hope of this in a future release?
