9.23.0.1746 Episodes not showing up on show details

This issue has been going on for a long long time, without fix in sight.

My conclusion ist that it’s not worth for Plex to fix it.
Maybe If all of us buy more Plex Passes, like BILLIONS of it!!! to contract a few programmers, then maybe it will be fixed

Would be nice to get a fix on this soon. I can hardly use my tablet with Plex at this point because trying to launch an episode from within a season is difficult when the episodes don’t display 95% of the time. Toggling “read/unread” for all episodes might help things display, but it’s not ideal and it’s not a consistent fix. @bigwheel: what’s going on here?

Having the same problem on Samsung Galaxy S21 and Samsung Tab A. Have to exit and reload the season dozens of times before it will load the episode list.

Months ago I opened another thread to share that I am experiencing a similar problem with album tracks. I guess it’s due to the same bug and I’m surprised that after all this time it hasn’t been fixed.

Same issue with my Galaxy Tab S6. Both seasons and episodes wont show up. If I start a watching the first episode of a show, the seasons will show up when I cancel playback but they then disappear again.

Same issue as above. The episode list 100 percent of the time will now show on my Galaxy Tab A8. On my S21 Ultra, it’s hit or miss. Works completely fine on my shield tv.

Same thing is happening on my Pixel tablet. Episodes don’t show up unless i play one and back out. Latest version of Plex off the Google Play store as of today.

I have been having this issue on my tablet for months as well. Being able to list episodes is basic, core functionality for the app, making this a critical issue. I really hope a fix is coming soon.

Same issue on Samsung Galaxy Tab 6.
Issue is not present on iOS devices, nor tvOS.

I’ve just installed plex on a tablet and I’m having the exact same issue. I’m surpised this is such an old thread and it hasn’t been fixed yet for such a core function of plex, am I missing something?

Adding another user with this issue.
Plex dev team have broken the android app.
Sony TV not showing seasons or episodes.
Almost unusable now.

No, nothing has been fixed, and probably never will. We Tablet-Watchers are not worth the hassle.

So Plex concentrates on things Like “Discovery Today”, which translated means “a bucket full of useless nothing”, while we remain with a bug that probably needs 2 lines of code editing to fix.

Basicaly there are 1st and 2nd grade paying Plex Pass Users.

Fortunately there are options, some even COMPLETELY FREE, where things still get done

Another year and this remains unfixed. Some time ago I wrote a review on the Play Store commenting on this issue. This is the response I got from Plex:

Plex is more interested in getting new Plex Pass subscriptions and releasing features Like “Discovery Today”, that no one needs.
