Lately I’m experiencing a weird problem.
One I watch an episode, the only option is playing next, I can’t replay the last one. It’s just as if the episode is no longer available.
Then I go to browse the series, I can see series, seasons, enter a season… And I can see up to the line that reads “episodes” on the left, “x not watched” on the right… No thumbnails, no titles, nothing. Even when I just watched an episode, and they display fine on pc, in Android it’s like they don’t exist.
The bottom to play next episode does work, and I can play it, but that’s all. The list of episodes just won’t show.
Tried deleting cache, but it won’t work.
Sometimes they work fine, without doing anything, and the next moment they are gone.
Sometimes also when I open the android app, plex server on my pc crashes. After restarting the server it works fine.

When watching TV shows with multiple series the thumbnails and episode descriptions do not show up. Unter the series number its blank not allowing a selection of episodes. It does not happen for all series. I.E. Season 1,4&5 work fine and you can watch the episodes and Season 2,3,6,7 & 00 do not show up any episodes.
In have restarted the app, restarted the tablet, updated the server its still the same.
Same issue of not displaying shows in the season on my oppo Pad. Server running on debloated windows vm. Works fine on my OnePlus 7t pro. I would say it’s a tablet app related issue.

No issues on my Pixel 7 Pro, Samsung Tab 4 still issues.
Same issue on Fire HD 10, can somewhat workaround by using library to sort by episode/show, but it’s a pain.
Another slight workaround I found - when viewing a season, if you mark the entire season as watched/unwatched, the episode list will populate (though it will disappear next time you come back).
I also have this same issue, using Windows server, and plex app on OPPO A91 mobile. It shouldn’t be that hard to pin down by dev
I’m experiencing the same issue on 2 Samsung S6 Lite tablets that my kids use. Hope this gets fixed soon, as the issue has been ongoing for a while now.
@BigWheel : do you have any updates for us? This really has been going on for a while now (this is just my first post about it, however).

I am experiencing the same issue with both the Fire HD 10 (11th gen) and the Samsung S5E. When I try to click on a season to access the episodes list, it only shows the unwatched count, and the full list of episodes is not displayed.
The workaround (not a permanent fix) is to click ‘Play Next Episode’ and then go back to the episodes list, which will finally show the full list of episodes.
The team is still actively looking into it but they have not figured out the cause yet
I have two Android devices;
Lenovo Tab M10 Plus Gen 3 tablet; issue with many shows (all?) not showing episode details etc.
OnePlus 8 phone, seems to show episodes list correct to a much larger degree than the tablet.
Both are running the latest Plex app (there’s no update in Play Store) and Android 13.
On Windows clients there’s no issue
Plex server is 1.32.5.7349, running in container.

Edit: I will note that while the issue is 99% fixed in 9.21.3.1621 (860906833), it will rarely not load the episodes in a season. going back and into the season fixes it. Whereas every version after 9.21.3.1621 (860906833), will not load the episodes at all.
Also wanted to add that I’m having the same issue on the Beta 9.28.0.3162. The tablet is a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6.

Having the same problem for a while now. This has been open for a minute.
I have the same issue. My server is in a QNAP NAS qpkg. The android samsung tablets/phones do not display the episodes seasons in 70% of the cases but on the android TV there are no issues.
It has been a while. Isn’t there a solution?
Same issue with my Galaxy Tab S8. No issues with my Z Flip, shield, Roku, etc.
