Having just renewed my dev account I have installed Lion DP4 on a spare partition and want to get Plex installed.
Once I have Plex installed can I then just copy over the relevant folders from ~/Library/Application Support to prevent having to do a fresh full scan? Also will doing that retain my watched status on my media?

A reinstall is necessary to avoid problems. I wound up trying the move, but it caused so many software glitches, I had to reinstall.
As long as the username and harddrive names are the same between the two systems there should be no issues to simply copy over the Plex and Plex Media Server folder from Application Support.
