A-Z not working properly

So i have a big music collection…whenever i try clicking on any letter it does not work. Anyone else having this issue? or is it on my side?

Which app are you using?
I assume the web app. Try https://app.plex.tv

I just installed Plex on another PC (the app) and is doing the same thing. The A-Z is not working properly.

Please show a screenshot of the whole screen when the issue is occuring.
I’d like to see which ordering mode is used.

And which letter did you click on? This one simply looks like the beginning of the list.
Look the the drop-down selectors at the top-left.
The list is sorted after the ‘artist name’, and not the the ‘album title’.

On all the letters and it sends me back to A.
I have always had it like this n it was always working…till i did the latest update

  1. activate debug logging (not ‘verbose’!)
  2. quit Plex Server
  3. wait 1 minute
  4. start Plex Server
  5. wait 5 minutes
  6. fetch log files and attach them here

Or inspect them yourself. Take a look at the Plex Media Server.log file and seek for messages about database corrupt or malformed.
If you find these, you may have to repair your database.

ok i just did all that n it did not found any corrupt or malformed
I tried listing them by Titles n the a-z worked…but before it worked when i listed them by Album Artist.
I’m sure is not my database as i installed Plex on a diff PC(to check if it did the same) and it did the same as my main PC (a-z not working)

When you edit an artist, what is in the “Sort Artist” field?
Is it empty?
Is it the same as in the “Artist” field?
Something else?

Hm, that’s expected.

Which web browser are you using?

Are you using any web browser add-ins? (Ad-blocker, privacy-something etc.pp.)
If you do, try disabling them one-by-one and retry each time. If it suddenly starts to work, you’ve found the culprit.

Google. Yeah, i have some add ons.
I’ll try that if it doesnt work…ill just wait for a new update (plex) to see if that fixes it.
