Plex won't sort movies by letter (Something went wrong message)

Anyone else having Plex fall over when clicking letter in Library view of your Media collection? Happens both on Desktop (Plex Web) and on client devices like Amazon Fire TV, Stick, etc.

Used to be able to click letter and it would jump to it…now it fails (Something went wrong message in Plex Web) or will display completely different letter of movies.

Do you experience the same with the hosted version of Plex Web (https://app.plex.tv/desktop)?

I’ve tested this with the bundled version (v4.59.2) and the hosted version (v4.64.3) and cannot reproduce this issue.

Thanks for the reply, yes, happens both with Plex Web and local media server interface (accessed over IP).

Can start with Library view and as soon as I scroll through 10% of list it issues Something Wrong message. Can’t jump to letters. Also same with Plex App on Amazon Fire TV interfaces.

QUICK UPDATE - Looks like Synology Plex Media Server client allows sorting without issue in Library view, Plex Media Server on MacOS 11.5.2 has Library view issue.

Your server’s database is corrupted.

Fixed, thanks! Deleted DB and just started from scratch, didn’t bother trying to repair. Runs great now, nice work!
