I’m fairly new to Plex but I assume that the alphabetical column to the right is meant to take you quickly to that letter in your collection, right? I.e., I’m looking for the movie Spiderman, I should be able to just click the letter S to quickly be taken to the first item that starts with S (depending on sort filter of course).
Well, it’s not working well at all. It does move down or up the list but doesn’t at all reflect the letter I clicked on.
Anybody else have this problem or any ideas how to fix this and how do you report bugs?
Thx!
I believe this has been reported already.
What client is this (platform and version) and on what version of Plex Media Server are you experiencing the issue?
Oh? That’s good to hear.
I’m using Plex v 1.19.4.2935 on a QNAP NAS, which is the latest version available for that platform.
The client is the online app through Chrome (Plex Web v 4.36.1).
Why would I want to optimize it? I wouldn’t even know to what other resolution I would want to optimize everything since everything works smoothly and it would be a huge waste of space which I can’t afford (and would take forever!).
Since tom80H says it’s maybe a known issue, I’ll live with it until it hopefully gets fixed.
Thx anyway,
I suggested it because i had same problem on my xbox when viewing my movie library, doing a “Empty trash” & “Clean Bundles” and then “Optimize Database” on my entire server fixed it for me.
Ah, ok gotcha. Although, it’s a brand new share. I’ve literally added or removed almost nothing so I really doubt that’s the issue.
I’m banking more on a bug that will be resolved eventually in a later release.
Thx anyway!
