I’ve been having some issues opening an mp4 file, getting a transcoder error.
Some more info: :
Codec H264
Codec AAC
I’ve went through the forums … figured it might be a permission issue … hunted down some folders and permissions, but couldn’t see in the logs anything about a permission.
All i could find was :

I’ve tried deleting the codecs and running it again as suggested here … but that didn’t help, and didn’t download the codecs.
I’ve opted for trying to hit the endpoint manually, and following the XML url, but for some reason it seems like this bit oldestPreviousVersion=1.18.2.2058-e67a4e892 was the culprit somehow ? i’ve removed that bit, and managed to get the codec.
From there i’ve simply copied it into the codecs folder, and vualla … the video plays without any issues.
I’ve tried again as i was writing this, and now it seems to work ? 
Figured i’ll write this up in case someone else is running into the same issues.
