I saw that the composers suggestion was closed, but not sure why, so I’ll just drive-by post that this feature should be introduced.
Additionally, something that would be very helpful is having the ability to add musicians played on a recording. For example, in jazz it is very common to have guest artists on a recording. I may have 13 albums with Peter Bernstein as the band leader, but Peter is also a frequent guest performer on Jimmy Cobb and Mel Rhyne’s recordings.
If I want to find everything I have in my Plex server that Peter played on, I don’t have a good way of doing that. I have to set the artist to be something like “Mel Rhyne and Peter Bernstein” but that breaks the convention of who the main artist is for the recording.
That said, the ability to put in all of the individual performers for a recording would go a long way towards properly organizing my music.
Several requests for the same features exists already, and they have more votes.
