Now that we have a Pinned Items list that only contains the libraries we want to see for that specific client, Plex could make that feature even smarter and useful by allowing us to pin our favorite/most used filters. So in addition to being able to pin my “TV Shows” library, I could create a pin for “TV Shows: Sci-fi Genre” or even pin a combination of filters and sorting “TV Shows: Sci-fi by Year”.
you know you can save your filter to a playlist? then they will be ‘pinned’ in the playlist section.

Playlists don’t update after they are created, and they show every episode as one big list. Not nice for browsing.
Saving filters in the URL is only useful on the web browser client, which I only use to manage plex. If we could pin filters, it could easily work on all the other clients.
playlists that are created from FILTERS, do update automatically.

I was simply advising of potential workarounds.
A request for the same feature exists already, and it has more votes.
Therefore this one is closed, to prevent spreading the votes across several threads, even though they vote for the same (or at least very similar thing).
