There is a filtering feature, but you can’t save them. It’d be nice to save a set of filters as a “dynamic playlist” of sorts.
Yes, you can save them.
Just click on ‘Add to playlist’ after you have applied a filter.

However, it doesn’t seem like you can modify this playlist. As in, I can’t add/delete this set of filters, or even view them.
Playlists are not a good substitute for Saved Filters, which should just be available to filter the current Library view and not have to out to a Playlist, which looks and behaves differently.
Playlists are only suitable for Music, really. Sure you can make them from anything, but they aren’t that useful as a Saved Filter.
Save Filters should be something like Smart Folders in a file system, and should show up under the Library they apply to on left and/or from a Saved Filter subsection of the Filter Menu, perhaps. Once you’re in one’s view, you should be able to easily edit it’s search criteria as needed.
