Ability to Restrict Search to Specific Library or Libraries

Right now I can filter on “Movies & TV” but that is too general and brings in results I am not interested in. how about a way to choose a specific server’s Library by name rather than the whole generic library type. While we’re at it how about a generic “Collections” search filer too?

Just so I understand your suggestion correctly…
You want to filter the search results for a specific library – not restricting a library from showing in the search results in the first place?

If so… there’s already an existing feature suggestion discussing such an option – in that case I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to avoid distracting/dispersing votes (and as a result closing this thread as a duplicate).

Search Options. search guide only or search specific libraries only

Currently there is no way to search a specific library. only the entire server. I’d like to see a feature added that would make it easier to search ONLY a section of your library/plex-server ie, search only the guide, or a specific library you’ve added. instead of searching all content on the server. [image] {Recordings, and Guide only show up for those with DVR, the rest are the libraries the user has added} {and an option for content types… etc…} this would make searching for a TV show on…
