[Feature Request] - Exclude library in Global Search

Hi,
I think that it will be useful to have a way to include a library in global search or not.
For example if you have an adult library and you search “house” or something else you have always interesting results. This will be useful to avoid kids seeing naughty staff on your screen. If we can have a feature for editing the adult library and uncheck a box for “include in global search” , I think that will be useful for everyone.

Cheers,
Alex

I second this request, for the same reasons. I also share my libraries with my friends and they have asked the same question.

this would also be useful for me, not for the adult content in the OP, but i have a training and education library that often goops up search results with a billion hits that are completely irrelevant, i’d love to exclude that library from search results.

Or at least the remote users to be able to set password for the adult library

I only want TV shows and movies to be searched when searching, no Documentaries, Cartoons, Anime etc… I have Liked / replied to this to help resurrect it

I have seperated my music collection into several libraries: regular artists albums, soundtracks and various artists albums (compilations). I would often like to limit search results to music so no films, series or this new stuff like podcasts and news.

You got my vote. Kids searching for movies and results from hidden libraries are showing up. Kind of defeats the purpose of hiding a library.

just like “exclude from dashboard” isn’t it ?!

This really should be a core feature. Low lift and big improvement to functionality

Early 2021 clean-up: implemented (... > Manage Library > Edit... > Avanced > Visibility has an option to exclude that library from the home screen and global search)
