missex something with offset when not defined. fixed and pushed to master
Updated to latest ASS/HAMA master, recreated test library, and everything looks to be back to being found again! Gurren Lagann and Tales of Zestiria the X are both working correctly now also with their offsets, etc.
Just have Hetalia left. There isnāt anything wrong with my custom xml on that is there? Should be able to map half of anidb s1 to tvdb s2 (and s3 > s4 for the other), correct?
@deusxanime should have tested better, my apologies, but itās moving forward nonetheless and am glad all seems working⦠I checked your mappings and they look fine, but you should not include ā4-501;5-502;ā on scudleeās mappings
01-26 anidb => season 1 ep 01-26 tvdb
27-52 anidb => season 2 ep 01-26 tvdb (-26 offset)
01-24 anidb => season 3 ep 01-24 tvdb
25-48 anidb => season 4 ep 01-24 tvdb (-24 offset)
Yes those mappings look right, just not seeming to pick them up from my custom xml for Hetalia.
The mappings to s0e50X has been working well for personal use in my custom xmls for things that arenāt in TVDB. There a reason not to use it in custom xml as it seems to be not causing any issues? I can see why you might not want them in āmainā scudlee corrections xml though, so I can scrub them before updating that.
Let me know when you get any fixes for me to test out!
@deusxanime use them in custom mapping files, but if publishing them in ScudLeeās Anime-list then remove them here
He just updated it and added few peoples as maintainer. ill reproduce and see if mapping the ep as it should or correct scanner code
@ZeroQI - I see they did finally do some updates to ScudLee xml, must be because new season maybe. Still no response to fixes I put into forum post and in github issues though, so not sure if that means theyāll be any more responsive or not to those kind of fixes/updates.
Let me know how it goes with your testing with Hetalia and when you have a fix to test out. Thanks!
@deusxanime Thereās a big PR pending at the moment, once thatās merged iāll take your GitHub issues and merge them (I was added as a contributor to the repo). Ignore that, I thought iād gained write access but hadnāt.
@KJKingJ - darn, would have been usefulā¦
@ZeroQI - I thought we were back to square one at least, where the scanner/agent were working pretty stably, but I think the new code from trying to fix bugs past day or two has introduced some new ones. I started adding some more fairly standard stuff to my main library again and a bunch of specials getting mapped wrong and other oddities. Iāve moved them all into my test library and recreated it to get fresh logs.
-
Hetalia issue still of course.
-
Using anidb2-xxxx tagging to merge all āIkki Tousenā into single entry and pretty much all specials are being mapped to same season as each series rather than into s0.
- āInfinite Stratos 2ā is just using standard anidb-xxxx mapping, but couple odd things. Anidb ep 02 > s0e01 and also ep 12 > s1e01.
- āJuden-chanā again specials mapping to regular season rather than to s0. This just using standard anidb-xxxx as well. Sorry about few oddly named ones in there, JMM must not have renamed them correctly. But even still they are all going to the wrong place.
Attaching logs for all.
@deusxanime yeah specials folder eps were seen as season 1, fixed and pushed to github master branch
@ZeroQI - Updated ASS/HAMA and recreated test library.
Specials now working with āIkki Tousenā and āJuden-chanā (after fixing filenames with JMM). āHetaliaā all specials look good too, but still same problem with not splitting into seasons 2 & 4.
āIS - Infinite Stratos 2ā still having very odd issues though. Mapping some episodes completely wrong.
Having the ā2ā on the end is causing the problem, as weāve seen before I believe. Even a simple change such as renaming folder and episodes to āIS - Infinite Stratos S2ā fixes the problem. No big deal, I can do that if needed, but thought you might want to know of the bug. āIS - Infinite Stratos 2ā is the official Japanese and English name both though, so Iād think most people would be using that name and also what it shows up as in Plex.
I thought as long as the folder name included the title and episodes named the same way, it would strip that off the file names before looking for episode numbers and such? If so, not sure how come the ā2ā still seems to be causing mapping issues, but surely more involved than I know of.
Attaching logs.
@deusxanime Part of code to use season mapping use anidb as index but used tvdb season (s2) as index when building, therefore doesnāt match. added tvdb season as field, anidbseason as index. updated to github master branch the fix
āIS - Infinite Stratos 2ā still having very odd issues though. Mapping some episodes completely wrong.
correct, will correct latter
@ZeroQI said:
@eduo please update scanner and agent and rename the serie folder with tvdb5 force and it should work as you want already
Hi. Reporting back:
I had to delete the library and build it again, but it worked. The episodes were shown in a single season and then ordered properly.
An interesting thing happened. I had left the metadata agent to be TheTVDB. Of course, this meant than when the library was updated today for some other reason it picked up all the metadata for the absolute order and it shows the title, description and screenshot of the āAired orderā, even though it plays the one from the absolute order.
It would be nice if the Metadata agent could load the actual data from the ātrueā season and episode but I guess Iāll have to switch to personal media instead.
Thanks a lot, otherwise. Your change works perfectly.
actually hama did load the correct data in my tests ā¦
@ZeroQI - Updated ASS/HAMA and recreated test library. Hetalia now working! IS2 still having same issue, but you knew that. =)
@deusxanime Yeah modified the algorithm should be working nicely now. Please test and report back
Now it remove the serie name or if not words (one per string) appearing in all filenames.

@ZeroQI - Infinite Stratos 2 now working. Will continue letting you know if I run into new problems. Just got through my G-L folder, so 1/2 way now. =) Thanks!
Hello:
I think there is a file name parsing(encoding) issue with the foreign languages other than English.
Currently, I am using the latest HAMA and ASS for the agent and scanner with latest version of Plex which is installed at my Qnap NAS, and all of my files are named in Japanese with āTitle - Ep# (Source).mp4ā rule.
These are some of the examples that are miscategorized.
This issue can be fixed by changing all of the file names in English, so it can be assumed that the routine for processing CJK letters is not working correctly.
Log file attached below.
Plex Media Scanner (custom ASS).log
c.f. As you can see in the log file, the problem did not happened with the previous version of the ASS.
Thank you.
@kojandy Thanks for using HAMA and ASS. I can see in Notepad++ everything show up ok at the beginning then hell break loose (ep number wrong and logs flooded with bad characters)
Do you have the scanner file that worked and the filelist generated by the scanner? i need to see all that changed between last version and the one that worked for you and to reproduce your library for testing as well
@ZeroQI Thank you for your reply.
I have found the version that works correctly.
GitHub Link: commit 37f1102
I have tested with this version and it seems to be working correctly.

File Lists
@kojandy Hi, i tried comparing the code but nothing obvious so recreated by hand couple folders and got 1 issue. worked on it and it does seem to display without errors in scanner logs and to scan ok
Please update ASS to the latest and report.
