Accidentally Setup User as "Home User" -- Removed All Access, they can still Login

I accidentally setup a user as a Home User instead as a friend (whoops). I noticed this because he would be playing things off my Plex like I was playing them. I deleted him from Home Users and added him to Friends instead. He never got the invite (invite pending) but he could still login as a Home User. I deleted him from Friends AND Home Users now, AND I deleted him from Authorized Devices, He can still login! Is there a way to get him out of the database without renaming the server? I’d like him not to be able to access my stuff, unless I want him to. Thank you so much!

it sounds like you gave him your account info ?

did/do you have a PIN on your admin/home account ?

you can change your account password and force sign out all users @ https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/account

I didn’t give him any account info, just set him as a home user. So whatever the app does there. I’ll reset my PW and see if that helps? Thanks.

unless you assign a PIN to your admin account, any home user can switch to any other profiles that don’t have a pin.

if has his own account, and you add him to your home, then he switched to your account (accidentally or on purpose) then he essentially is logged in as you/admin.

Home is generally intended for folks within the same house to quickly change profiles.

I would make sure you have a PIN on your admin account, just to help avoid the issue in the future.

I’m a bit confused about what happened, but you might need to ask him to manually log out of the apps he has used.

I’ll have him do that. I also reset my Plex password. I will also set a PIN, and report back!

I have the similar problem but that person is no longer on speaking terms. He shows up as an Admin and I can’t remove him. What can I do?

If he shows as admin then you are in his Plex home. Click the red X on the right side of your user row to leave his Plex home.
