i have waited days and i am still unable to login to plex web app due to too many failed attempts.

according to the below article i should receive an email which i did not find anything sent with the word plex in it within the last month in my gmail so i don’t believe it sent. the link they provide to resend an email does not work.

Have you set up Plex Watch?
If so, disable it please.
You have something on your account trying to log in ever 30 to 60 seconds with bad password it looks like. Do you have something like PlexPy, PlexWatch, Couch potato or something like that which you entered plex credentials at some point so it could interact with server data? maybe it has a old password
so even if it unlocks ( which it will do automatically on it’s own), the quick repeated attempts locks it again

This is a separate login email so that I can even post on these forums - I just installed Plex Media Server on my QNAP. I have been adding movies, etc. Today I decided to sign up for a lifetime Plex pass (thinking that is a really bad idea after this experience) and it asked for my email and password, but it wouldn’t take it. Too many tries, so I am locked out.
I don’t have the Plex fruity watch or even an app installed an tablet or phone yet. Just the freakin’ server.
There is no way to contact support, just these forums, but you HAVE TO BE LOGGED IN TO USE THEM, which is IMPOSSIBLE WHEN YOU ARE LOCKED OUT.
Even in the login page there is no option to reset your password. You are just plain f*cked when this happens? C’mon guys this is pathetic. IS THERE AN INMATE IN THE PLEX ASYLUM THAT CAN HELP? A PHONE NUMBER? ANYONE?
In the worst case just wait 24 hours and then try again.
If you did like the OP of this post and set up the 3rd party software PlexWatch
, you need to to disable it! Because it will automatically retry to log in to your account (probably with the wrong credentials) and reset the unlock-time over and over.
If you did something else as well, like trying the Facebook or Google logins I recommend you to contact Plex Pass billing support
