After having problems searching my collection, I found an old forum post about the actor search/filter being limited to just the top 3 billed cast in movies. This seems really restrictive and arbitrary. For example, for Dreamgirls Jennifer Hudson is the 5th billed actor in the cast. She won an academy award for this movie, but won’t appear Plex actor filters as an option from it.
Can the include/exclude threshold for actors being in the list be made configurable for users? Either at the library level, agent level, or something else?
