I can view individual movie titles on the Plex server and clearly see Crispin Glover as part of the cast. I can also search for him in the search bar and have it show me the movies he is in. But I can’t create a Smart Collection for him because his name doesn’t show up in the list of actors to choose from.
IIRC the filter only considers cast members that are listed in the first few items on at least one movie. So you might end up with an actor who’s listed on position >5 on 25 movies that won’t be available for filtering, while another actor who’s listed on a single movie on position 2 will be available for filtering.
Thanks for clarifying. So, to be clear, because Crispin Glover is beyond position 5 in all the movies I have, he won’t show up in the list. But as soon as I add a film that has him in an earlier position, his name will show up in the list and all his movies will appear in that collection?
