Movie/TV Cast UI Section bug after 3rd actor, 4th actor onwards cannot filtered by name

• This is still an issue and preventing collection creation for some actors.

I have noticed that on a Movies or TV show page when there are more than 3 Cast members from the 4th cast member on if you click on their picture or name the search result brings back their shows or movies but their name is not displayed. Same result if you search by their name in global search. The first 3 cast member search results always start the search result page with their name.

All shows/movies are matched and follow the correct naming. I have tried removing a few shows and movies completed the plex shuffle and get the same result after they are added back.

A side effect of this bug is that you cannot filter by those cast members or create smart filters either from the tv or movie page. Is this just my collection or is this a know issue, any help would be appreciated

I’ve seen this as well and has been a bug for a while now. Actually there is a lot of search related problems with anything that uses advanced filters which this search kinda is. I’ve raised some examples on the forum but they have not little to no response from plex so just gave up reporting them …

I know it’s very frustrating that new features keep being added but the core isn’t fixed. For example why not have a search issue sprint and bundle them into a single release. I’m sure the team could knock the issues out if they were given the time to deal with the backlog. We all like new features but I would prefer that the core product is maintained.
