Actors are not shown and cannot be filtered

I’m currently trying to develop an agent and struggling with adding the actors. I’m not sure if this is a problem with my agent or if it’s a problem with the Plex Server.

My agent adds 10 actors to a movie and I can see them in the XML on the info page. So I think that my agent is working correctly. But when I’m opening the movie in Plex Web I can only see 5 of them. Maybe that’s as expected because it would be difficult to show 100 actors on the details page. But what’s really strange, if I try to filter by actor name I only have 3 of the actor names in the filter list. Why I’m not able to filter for all 10 actors?

I’m testing with a media library containing only one movie so there should be no conflict with other media items.

I just tried to access my media library with Kodi using the PlexKodiConnect Addon. And voilà, I can see/filter all of the shiny metadata I’ve added to the videos.

So the problem seems to be client based and not server or agent based. It amazes me that Plex Web is not capable of using all the available metadata as it should be the number one UI for accessing and managing the media library.
