Ad-Skip Doesn't Work

Server Version: 1.25.4.5468
Player Version#: 4.73.3
Tuner Make/Model: Xteve
Guide/Lineup name: DirecTV
Using XMLTV?: Yes

I have Plex running on a Linux server (bytesized hosting appbox). I just got Plexpass and setup Live TV + DVR with Xteve, and it all works well, except for ad-skip, which doesn’t work at all.

If I set Plex to skip ads the “non-destructive” way (create index markers) - it just doesn’t do anything. If I set it to skip ads the “destructive” way (delete them from the file) the files just get hung up in processing forever after the recording finishes.

So I looked at one of the recording logs and noticed a couple of interesting things:

################################################################
Generated using donator Plex Commercial Skipper
Time at start of run:
Mon Jan 31 19:03:54 2022
################################################################
Mpeg: /flexdisks/nobuddy/carlolaf65/TV/Gunsmoke/Season 18/Gunsmoke (1955) - S18E18 - Patricia.ts
Exe comskip.exe
Logo: /flexdisks/nobuddy/carlolaf65/TV/Gunsmoke/Season 18/Gunsmoke (1955) - S18E18 - Patricia.logo.txt
Ini: /usr/lib/plexmediaserver/Resources/comskip.ini

Detection Methods to be used:
1) Black Frame
2) Logo - Give up after 2000 seconds
3) Resolution Change
4) Aspect Ratio

ComSkip throttles back from -0001 to -0001.
The time is now 1903 so it’s full speed ahead!

It seems to be assuming there should be a comskip exe, which is strange on a linux system.

It has a path to an ini file that I can’t seem to locate on the server (/usr/lib/plexmediaserver/Resources/comskip.ini)

My Plex server runs in docker and comskip works for me. I did have to create a DVR folder and add a customized comskip.ini in that folder to get it to work better.
