Add age restriction to server stream output!

I use Plex for a long time now and I found multiple ways to bypass the age restrictions of a home user:

1.) The easiest way is on our Samsung TV. If the internet connection fails (or someone disconnects the internet cable) and my son was the last user in Plex, he sees now the content of the main user without the need to confirm anything with a PIN.

2.) The next thing happend after I moved to a new server. I do not know why, but after copying the database file all users were still there and all users still had there age restrictions settings, but no user had shared media. No media means no media, but instead my son saw everything of the main user in its Android app (on the web player, too). Only after I re-enabled all media for his home user and only after I killed his Androlid Plex app the correct age restricted content was displayed.

I know, errors happen, but please add a final age restriction check to the server stream output itself. Displaying the wrong library content is one thing, but being able to play the adult content is not acceptable.

In Settings → Network, do you have your local subnet entered in List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth?

IIRC, since this bypasses any authorizations it also bypasses age restrictions, PINs, etc.

Yes, I use this setting as it’s the only way to view my local content offline.

It’s really sad that nobody of the Plex Team likes to change this. If you have kids you can not view your content offline or what?!

Why is it such a big deal to cache all home user logins locally, especially if we are talking about Lifetime customers. By that Plex has its own Error 37
