Good day people, i just installed Plex Server on Windows 10. When i attempt to play a movie, I get a popup telling me to turn off my add blocker. The problem is I do not have add blocker turned on. Please advise
What are you using to play a movie? Web browser? Plex-for-windows app? iphone? smart TV?
The only thing I could think of that would prompt for an ad blocker would be a browser, but Plex doesn’t care about them, since it doesn’t have any for your own media.
Are you watching your own media? It’s quite common for new users to click on the “Movies and TV on Plex” menu option, which are Plex’s own free streaming movies. These have ads, and its POSSIBLE that it might have ad-block-detection on them. But I haven’t ever used their free offerings.

I run ublock origin in my web browsers and have never had a problem with Plex. Then again I’m on Linux…
