Add movies to library that are owned in outside source

I own a lot of movies in Amazon and Vudu and I’d like to add those movies to my Plex library from a library management perspective. Not to play from Plex itself, but to account for the content I own in a single location.

Potential workflow for a user:

  1. User Plex Search to find a movie you own
  2. In the “More ways to watch” section select the movie
  3. Have a button to “Add to Personal Library” or something like that
  4. Have the ability to build your personal library sources like Vudu, Amazon Video, Ultraviolet, Etc

With this we would be able to account for content we own in addition to content we have as video files on the Plex server itself.

Is this more or less the same as what’s suggested here: Add Plex Discover Shows to library?

Thanks for pointing that out. I tried to find a similar post, but nothing stuck out. Looks like the other one hasn’t gotten much traction. I could add my notes to it and give it a vote.
