Currently, Discover provides support for movies and TV shows, along with actor credits, but lacks support for music. It would greatly improve the Discover feature to include music support. Users should be able to explore albums and tracks by their favorite artists, as well as those in their friends’ libraries, directly from the artist’s page. Furthermore, users should be able to explore and add the latest music releases to lists directly through Discover. Integration with music streaming platforms would also be beneficial.
I’m aware that Plex has partnered with TIDAL for TIDAL music integration, where users can discover the latest music releases. However, TIDAL operates as a separate library, unlike Discover, which allows users to explore their own and their friends’ libraries. What we need is a feature that allows users to browse music-related content in a manner similar to Discover.
I’m not sure if similar requests have been made before, as I couldn’t find any related inquiries. However, introducing music support to Discover would greatly enhance the music experience within Plex.
