Add Plex Media Server/Library with Synology not working

Not sure how or what I did but my server got all ■■■■■■ up last night. I kept getting “not authorized” and can’t find server. I said ■■■■ it and I uninstalled the media server, blew away the different plex folders on my Synology and said let me just make a new one. But after installing Plex and launching the web app, I am not prompted to do anything. I don’t get any options to add a server, add a library and tehre’s nothing in any of my settings

First step – get the server back to you

1. Uninstall the package – UNINSTALL ONLY (Keep files option)

2. Reinstall the same SPK

3. Use the “New or Lost” radio button (Plex Claim Token)

4. Click “Get Plex Claim Token”

5. Copy the token

6. Paste it back into the form (within 4 minutes)

7. Click NEXT NEXT DONE and let it install

8. Give it a little extra time to get the new credentials and reclaim the server.
   – It will confirm with your username and email if all is well.

PART 2 – IF YOU NEED IT

Plex/web → Settings - Authorized Devices – SERVER (dropdown)

Find the old server (the one you just deleted) and REMOVE it.

Control + F5 to force reload Plex/web

Now you can claim the server (and/or use the steps above to make it easier)
