In some areas, the “Add to Watchlist” menu item is there when clicking media, but not on the Home Screen. I’d like to be able to add a few items to my Plex server and then add them to the Watchlist (from the Recently Added Movies section, for example) without having to go to individual libraries. This seems like an oversight this menu is missing here.
Hi, which client are referring to specifically? All of them should have Add to Watchlist action in the menu when using long press (on TV or mobile) or clicking on the three dot menu when hovering on an item (web/desktop).
I mostly use the Synology version and it doesn’t have this option on the Home screen.
I guess you’re referring to the web app?
I’ve just tested this and the option seems to be available for all media.
Keep in mind you can only add movies or shows to your watchlist… not episodes, seasons or other media. Also make sure the media is actually matched (just in case you solely rely on embedded metadata).
This is what the menu looks like for my TV Show library.

This is what the menu contains for the same show (not on the Home Screen under “Recently Added TV”:

It wasn’t working for movies earlier. This is a screenshot I took of a movie on the Home Screen a few hours ago:

But now the menu has more items including Add to Watchlist. So I guess that was a temporary glitch/bug with movies.
Since the “Recently Added TV” contains both single episodes and entire seasons grouped together, depending on what was added, I’ll update my request to add an “Add Show to Watchlist” option in the menu when clicking a season or single episode in this section (or maybe “Add Season to Watchlist” if it makes sense to support seasons in watchlists).
Thank you!
