I have several movies to which I would add trailers and more. I followed the instructions and it is not displayed. I have the logs but I do not know who to send them to.
If you can show me how you have them named and structured, that will be the first step.
The second step is to be certain you have the Local Media Assets agent enabled in Settings - Server - Agents - {appropriate category tab}

You only need to add the appropriate suffixes to your files.
Movies/
2016/
Star Wars (2016)/
Star Wars (2016).mkv
Star Wars (2016)-trailer.mkv
In this article, https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200220677
Scroll down toward the bottom. You will see “Local Trailers and Extras”. This shows you how to name the media. The only remaining step is to enable the Local Media Assets agents in Settings - Server - Agents - Movies

I have already tried and tried again after your post and I made an update and no change.
A recent design change in how Plex Web shows trailers sort of hides the trailer if there are no other extras associated with the movie, or if there is only your local trailer or only a downloaded trailer. That is, if there is only one “extra” and that is the trailer, it doesn’t appear on the movie page below the actors like it used to, the only access is thru the “trailer” icon at the top of the page. Maybe that’s what you are seeing?
I know Web changed. I am also speaking to the Ipad & Roku as well.
Neither of these should be visible.

In Settings - Server - Agents do you have “Local Media Assets” enabled? Please look at how I’ve done it below.
LMA is enabled in each of the tabs. When done, after you “Update Libraries”, they will show.

Pls Help me
Today is Sunday for me. Yesterday was Saturday (obvious) and was also a day I needed spend with family. I have not forgotten or forsaken. I too need a personal life.
What are the file permissions? Can Plex read the files?
Please provide me with a complete directory listing ls -la
of the movie, showing me movie and the trailers as they sit in the movie directory,.

Thats you need ?
Yes, that is precisely it.
I would like you to do the following
- Rename the
-trailer
to-behindthescenes
- Update the Library
- Now go to the Pre-play screen and see if it appears.
I am attempting to rule out a regression with the name ‘trailer’
