I want to join the growing list of Plex Pass Lifetime Members who vote to keep this feature. It was one of the deciding factors in my purchase of the pass. I have recommended others to purchase the pass as well based on this feature. Thank you.

My feature request is to allow users to play content in a synchronized manner. I want to be able to get a group of people together (virtually) and then play content in a synchronized manner.

I know that I am just one more, but it is a shame that I paid the lifetime subscription JUST BECAUSE of the Watch Together option and they are now removing it.

Really disappointed that this is being phased out. Genuinely use it every weekend with my kid who lives out of town. Would love to see it come back.

This is a great feature that initially brought me to Plex. I use it for movie nights with my long distance significant other. Other solutions just don’t work this smoothly when there is a big latency between two clients.

It’s a total deal breaker for me. I’ve maintained my server ONLY for the Watch Together feature. So, hardware will take a hit from me too as I keep a pretty nice set-up and have spent thousands over the years.

Please bring this back. I and many others use this daily. It wasn’t without its occasional problems, but I hope this is an opportunity to bring it to the new code refresh to be even sturdier and more reliable. Please consider this feature high on the list of functionality that not only people want, but benefit from greatly. I don’t care for the social features. But this social aspect is important for me

no one wants to go back to the “1,2,3 play” days for movies. not to mention, YOU SHOULD BE MORE FOCUSED ON MAKING THIS FEATURE BETTER??? absolutely ridiculous that it only works for 1 TV episode at a time. PLEASE RECONSIDER!!!

The “watch together” feature is used extensively by me and my friends who now live quite far away after Covid and provides us an avenue to get together, communicate, and watch some shared interests. Some of us even bought Plex passes to make life just that little bit easier.
The removal of this feature, (and the implied abandonment of improvements/support for it) is just another reason to consider moving to another service like Jellyfin on a more permanent basis.
The second Plex wakes up from its “ens*itification” is the day it returns to being a product customers don’t have a nagging feeling of hate for it in the back of their minds.
Wake up and grow up, Plex. You have competition nipping at your heels. And you should take it seriously.

I totally agree. My wife has low vision and can only watch movies on a large screen iPad. We have lots of personal movies we like to watch together. She can’t see well enough to do anything but watch movies I select and share with her. Dropping Watch Together makes it now impossible to watch hundreds of videos I have saved for viewing in Plex. That is just plain unkind. We do not share with others outside of our home. It’s just my wife and me. We are in our eighties and watching favorite videos together has been an important part of our daily activities. Failing to put an appropriate alternative in place before cancelling Watch Together is nothing short of cruel!
