There are already tons of WebDAV server apps out there. Why should Plex add its own, if an existing one can easily installed on your server machine?

Ye, that is correct. I have my server on Nvidia Shield. It would be great if Plex had WebDAV such as Stremio and Infuse does.

Easily installedā€¦. I doubt that. Iā€™ve seen some work arounds for Shield but itā€™s not easy. The easiest I saw was for Windows but my server is on Shield. If you have an easy way, please provide the information.

Many people hope that Plex will support WebDAV because we want to add media resources to the Plex media library via WebDAV. Some WebDAV services support 302 redirects, and if Plex supports WebDAV, adding WebDAV media that supports 302 redirects will not be limited by the upload bandwidth restrictions of the serverā€™s network during remote playback.

Why do you think many suggestions donā€™t get votes? Is it because people donā€™t want to vote? No, itā€™s because everyone only has 5 votes, and weā€™ve already used up our votes.

Additionally, requests with over 1,000 votes still take 10 years to be implemented. Do you think voting really makes a difference? I donā€™t think it makes any difference.

I also hope that the Plex team will add such features, but they (some of them ) seem to be somewhat arrogant, measuring the usage scenarios of the majority of users based on their own use cases, and believe that people who are not active in forums are not considered their users. I am curious, doesnā€™t the Plex team do user research when making products?

I support your opinion. And generally speaking, Plex Ninjaā€™s attitude is arrogant.

Many applications support webdav mounting, which is very useful. We can also use webdav to flexibly mount media in other locations. I hope the official can consider supporting this.
