Now that Plex supports agents for subtitle fetching, I’d like to go ahead and subtly hint at how awesome it would be to have an agent to fetch TVshow subtitles from addic7ed.com .
My humble opinion yes, but I think they’re by far the best site for TVshow subtitles in the web.

Do they have a public API to query for subtitles ?
Looks like they have a daily download limit of 30 files (50 for VIPs). Something to keep in mind when building an agent.
Adding my vote for this - addic7ed.com is where I always go for TV Show subtitles. Would be great to see Plex do some kind of link up the way it has been done with thetvdb.com

I made a script quite a while ago, but it’s not integrated into Plex since I don’t know how.
Basically, it’s a PHP script wrapped into an app with Platypus so that you can control-click a movie file to fetch the matching subtitle.
If anyone has experience in writing an agent, maybe he can wrap something around by script.
Would you be willing to share your script so I could include it in Newzworthy?
Since yesterday, I have started developping something.
However, from what I have seen regarding the way Metadata Agent work, this kind of agent would be pointless… Or I missed something!
Metadata-agent are executed when new medias are detected or when you run a full-update/refresh of a section or TV Shows (which is manual in the PMS)
I guess that most people would want to use such an agent for TV Shows so that it runs daily and retrieve subtitles as they are being released.
And with my previous belief regards the way Plex Metadata Agent work, this is not gonna do it. That might be useful when you add multiple not so recent eps as subtitles should be already available.
This is somethings I had to work around. Plex never downloaded subtitles for me.
I started using FileBot and its subtitle module ( Freeware ) and Hazel. I’ve configured Hazel to run FileBot script on newly added TV Shows for 2 days in 6 hour intervals.
From logs, I’ve noticed that subtitles for popular shows are released ~12-24 hours after the show is aired so it’s not surprising that Plex never downloaded any subtitles for me.
(Btw, FileBot is using video file hash to download subs from opensubtitles.org and subscene)
Exactly,I don’t know what are Plex teams plans regarding the evolution of subtitles in future but some kind of new agents should be considered. Or at least a new class such as metadata agents that would run once or multiple times a day and would try to download subs for every specific sections/medias (marked by the user) where subs are not available yet for the preferred language of the user.
From what I understand this has been brought to the Plex devs attention in the past ( by Atrus ) but not surprisingly its not their top priority. As I outlined, there is simple workaround for those willing to tinker with the system for few minutes and very customizable.
FileBot is freeware and great app in its own right, and Hazel is must own app for anyone using Mac anyways. Once you have those two apps installed, its 5 minutes and you’re done.
How is this going along?

But needs more programmation than the other subtitle websites : there's nothing for the developpers on Addicted (no API, no webservice, ...).
So the only way is to "catch" the html and extract the needed parts from it i think
