Adding a folder

Newbie question. I’m having issues with adding a folder to Plex from my NAS drive.

I installed Plex on my NAS drive and it detected the name OK (NAS1). I then created a library and ‘Browsed for media folder’. One of the resulting folder is called ‘Volume1’ which I assume id the name of the hard drive, and when I select this I can see my top level default NAS folders (Music, Photo, Video etc).

If I select ‘Video’ PLEX immediately adds the folder path without giving me the option to drill further down into the folder. When I check the ‘Video’ folder on my NAS drive it has many subfolders. After a few seconds I get a message stating ‘There are no items in this library’

Obvioulsy I’m doing something wrong but I can’t see what it is. Can amyone help please?
