Add Library on Plex Media Server on Synology DS720+ only shows Volume1

Synology Server Version#: DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 3
Plex MS # 1.30.0.6486

I’m a newby for the Plex MS. I’m having trouble creating a music library.

I’ll my music is Windows folder located on the NAS (z:\PlexServer\Music). When I Add Library under Manage > Libraries, I select Music then click Next. My problem is when I click Browse For Media Folder. All it gives me is what I suspect is the NAS operating system file structure, and not the music folder structure.

What obvious step am I doing wrong?

Brian

Click on volume1.

The volume number is hidden by Synology File Manager, but visible when adding folders to Plex.

If permissions are set correctly, you can navigate to /volume1/PlexServer/Music.

Note: The system internal user PlexMediaServer must have at least read-only access to your media files. If you have access issues, see FAQ 19: Setting permissions to allow Plex access to media files.

i am having similar issue. i am trying to add more movies to my movie folder on plex. however, i am unable to see the folders on the nas when adding through plex. i have it set up like so, Plex 2>Movies. But when adding, i only see the following, Plex 2>.
