Hi Everyone,
I’m new to plex, but loving it so far!
I’m trying to create a new movies library for my mums old films, so she can go straight to them.
She’s using a roku box.
When I click add library I believe after that I should have the option to select where the files will come from, eg: shared/movies or shared/mumsmovies (mine is already set up as shared movies and works fine)
But I don’t get an option when adding a new (duplicate) library, either other movies or movies.
I can create it a new library without selecting what folder the films are on from the server, but when I do that the new library shows the same films from the original library.
Eg: I have movies and it’s perfect.
I create a new movies library but I get a copy of the first one I created.
Is it possible to have more that one of the default libraries?
eg: 3 x movies
2 x home movies
I know I can put the films in folders as a way to get around this but Roku doesn’t show folders that well and my mum would have to search all through my movies to find hers.
Hope this makes sense?

And goes to the page * Once you’ve added all the source folders for this library, click
To sum up: I click add library (I want another movies library) I click movies, I change the name and then click next.
I should get the screen asking me what folder, but I go direct to the last screen saying add folder.
It does say ‘Remote’ next to my username on Plex.
Should that be something else? just thinking it should be direct?
I’m using a harddrive server WD mycloud
Doing it now, I was just logging on to the website (launch) to do everything.
Should I have downloaded this first then used this and not doing it from the internet (chrome)?

Thanks, It’s a WD Mycloud.
I’ve installed the software, logged in and it says it’s found a server, but it’s showing my PC name, is that right?
I titled my server as my home cloud.
Should plex be seeing that and not my laptop name?
I had already added plex to the WD server and everything is working fine except the library issue.

edit: When I paste the last url you gave i get this: pms-server-ip-address ’s server IP address could not be found.
I’ve just gone on to my plex on my own Roku box and now I can see two servers, one is the my cloud and the other is my pc.
Is there a way to remove this pc from it? sorry

Sorry, struggling here, don’t worry, I’ll use the normal movies folder.
I think my problem is the My Cloud WD server has the Plex software installed directly onto that and I have no idea how to access it to change IP addresses.
When I first installed the WD it said download an App, I selected Plex, it took me to plex website and I clicked install, it done the rest.
The first time I installed PMS properly (not using the WD server) was today with the link you gave me to update, thus adding my PC as a new server.
I’ve uninstalled that from my PC, but have no way to access PMS direct from the WD server to be able to change anything, I guess that’s why I used the normal plex.tv website to login.

The WD MyCloud devices don’t support the creation of additional libraries. You can only have one library of each type.
This is a restriction that has been defined by WD.
If you need a more flexible server, install PMS onto your personal computer and use the WD only for media storage.
But this also means that this PC needs to be running all the time when you want to use Plex.
Great, thank you both. Makes sense about the WD library, I thought I was doing something really stupid.
The WD was just a test, my aim is to use a proper server but wanted to test out Plex first, so quickly got the WD.
A great feature of Plex is … it’s showing me right now my Mum is watching one of my films! I only put it on her Roku today. This means she doesn’t need her own library after all! she’s happy to look through other films.
