Adding a second remote server

Hi I am trying to add a second remote server to my plex but I am having issues with this.
Any help or pointed to a guide for this would be great

Thanks

I have a couple servers running at the same time. You have to have each server have a static IP address and port forwarding setup for both. The 1st server would use external port 32400, the next 32401, etc

Make sure you are running the server on different machines, as you can only have one instance on a machine running at a time unless you have some sort of virtualization setup.

As @Busaman_VA mentioned make sure the ports are set to different ports as well.

Yes they are both on remote servers different companies. Still no luck with it. Is there a guide to doing this.

Also when I added first one I had to put a code in from plex.tv/something not getting that option so not understanding where to even add this server at

So your first server is working normal then?

For your 2nd server, you said its on a different machine, what operating system are you using? Also make sure you are logged into the server. You need to login using the local ip first so you can add it to your Plex account and make sure remote access is turned on. Check your firewall and open the ports needed for Plex.

As for the code you seen, from my experience the codes are used on clients to gain access to your server.

There is no such thing as a code to add a server, you add a server to your account by signing into/claiming it (or someone shares their server with your account). On some player apps you sign into the app by going to https://www.plex.tv/link and entering the code, but the server does not do that.

No it was the plex.tv/claim code got it figured out thank you for all advice.
