Adding a second server

Server Version#:
Player Version#:

I have a life time Plex pass. I run a server on a Mac Laptop with lasted software running well for years. I want to add another server on Windows 10 pc but it’s communicating at all. I downloaded the latest software and installed it. I ran the web apps. New server doesn’t see the old and visa-verse. Can’t setup libraries and configure stuff. I’m thinking I need to setup different port number but I’m missing that config page to that.

On that new server open a browser using PMSserverIP:32400/web

You must use the very same plex.tv username and password on both servers.
If you have created a new plex.tv account during the setup of the new server, you need to reverse that using this procedure, performed on the new machine: https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/

Used same user ID and password

Site can’t be reached isn’t browser respond

… is the respond

what was the address you used on the windows 10 machine in the browser.

pmsserverip:32400/web

that’s like 192.168.10.15:32400/web
and what is the responce?

It comes up with the web interface for my Mac server instead of the new server even though I used the IP of the Windows plex server

It does not have a banner that says it found an unclaimed server on your network?

try the link given above by ottokerner. https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/

after removing those registry settings restart the windows computer and launch the server on it.

then go to https://app.plex.tv sign in and see if it asks you to claim.

you can also try this one of our Ninja volunteers made [REL] ClaimIt

I don’t want to play with the registry. Plex is suppose to be plug and play instead it’s riddled with bugs. Plex Pass was a waste of money.

When the Web Client comes up using the IP of the windows system do you have a
“more” at the bottom of the list on the left.
If so select more the new server may be listed there.
