Adding Movies to your Library

I don’t know if this is the right place. How do you add friends so that you can grow your library of movies?

Does this enable you to add more people to increase your library. I am new to this so, I do not fully understand.

In Plex terminology, a library is a collection of movies, TV shows, personal videos, etc stored on a Plex Media Server.

Remote Access & Server Sharing lets you share the libraries on your server with other people. They can stream the movies, etc from your server to their TV, PC, etc.

If you want to watch movies stored on their server, they must share their libraries with you.

Sharing does not increase the size of an individual Plex library. Libraries shared with you appear separately in the Plex apps.

This is a very simplistic view, but think of it like this:

Tom's Server
  Movies
  TV Shows
Dick's Server
  Movies
  Vacation Photos
Harry's Server
  TV Shows
  Family Movies
