Adding NAS to Windows Plex?

Currently running a bit of a makeshift server with multiple external hard drives. Have the windows server installed and my various lettered drives associated to my plex library.

I recently purchased a Synology 4 Bay NAS DiskStation DS920+ to expand and set it up but can’t seem to find how to add the new ‘folder’ to current library. Maybe I’m missing something but I am able to run my current plex server and add the NAS bay or do I have to download the Plex (Synology) version? What will happen to the current server and my drives/metadata?

Any help appreciated, Thanks

Server Version#:4.66.1
Player Version#:

On the web interface, there should be 3 boxes next to the name of the library, Select that, Manage Library > edit

Thanks for the response, like I said, when I select add folders>brown for media files… it only displays the lettered drives I have on my computer and there is no NAS drive. Do I need to assign the NAS a letter? I thought I set it up fully.

you would need to mount the synology as a network share - with its own drive letter. Then you would be able to browse the synology’s folder from Plex on Windows.

You can also paste the “UNC path” to the folders on the NAS into the address bar in the “Add folder” dialog in Plex.

For either method to work reliably, you need to create the same username and password on the NAS, as you are using on the server machine.
