Adding RARBG as agent

Server Version#:6.23-25426
Player Version#:DS416play:

I am still a novice at this. Members have been very helpful getting me up to speed. I have begun to load info from databases (agents). I would like to add “RARBG” to my list of agents as they have some files not showing on the installed agents. I installed several 3rd party plugins with some success, however not all movies are in their databases and I am told plugins are going away soon. Any suggestions how to add "RARBG"to my list of agents would be much appreciated. Thanks again for all the help.

I’m gonna level with you man, it is not in Plex’s best interest to involve themselves with rarbg.

Also, that site doesn’t really have anything to index against.

Thank you. I am just trying to fill in an old collection of old odd movies. i appreciate the info.

All good bud. Try IMDB as a secondary agent. They match quite a bit.

Ping me direct if you have issues, happy to help.

You can add the IMDB or TheMovieDB ID to the folder file name. Plex will use that for matching.

Requires PMS 1.20.1 or newer and new Plex Movie agent. Only for movies, does not work with TV shows.

Thank you for the response. I am still having problems adding IMDB or any agent. If you can could you give me basic instructions how to add IMDB. Sorry to be a new user, but I think I am learning. Thanks.

You don’t add IMDB as an agent. Use the Plex Movie Agent. It uses several sources, including IMDB, to identify and download movie information.

Make sure you name your movies according to the “Naming & Organizing…” document linked above.

Read the “Upgrading a Movie library…” document linked above.

Using a web browser, access your Plex server. Edit your library. If you see “Upgrade Matching,” select it. If you do not, edit the library (see pic below). Choose Advanced, then set the Scanner & Agent fields to Plex Movie. Modify other settings as desired. See Scanners & Agents -> Advanced Settings for Plex Movie Agent for details.

Save changes.

Refresh All Metadata for the library (see pic below).

For movies that do not match correctly, add the IMDB or TMDB ID to the movie folder and file name, then refresh the metadata for the movie. See “Naming & Organizing…” document for details on adding the IMDB/TMDB ID.
