With the new Plex agents, there’s no more option to pick different agents. The new agents are configured individually per library (allowing different configurations in different libraries) – the options in Settings > [Server Name] > Agents only apply to the old legacy agents.
The Plex Movie agent should pick that title up fine though – best include the movie’s release year in your file names to reduce the need for manual corrections (e.g. /volume1/Serie/Film/Non Essere Captivo (2015).avi)
You can still match your movies using the ID from one of the repositories linked to the other agents by entering that ID in the title field (Titolo).
tt1167611 or imdb-tt1167611 (reference from IMDb)tmdb-359156 (reference from The Movie Database)Sorry but I not undestand this. Plese esplain me where should I write the tag?
Thx Francesco
Using Fix Match, put the tt number in the Title field:
You can also include the tt number in the file name of the movie. You can see this in the screenshot above, where it shows the Location. This would help Plex automatically match the movie.
not work for me… Why the agents management are changed? Work great until latest upgrade. If I try to downgrade I can fix this?
What exactly isn’t working for you? There might be an easier way than nuking your setup… downgrading or switching agents back and forth won’t necessarily fix your problem.
This is the name of file like advice by backfield Non Essere Cattivo (2015) {imdb-tt1167611}.avi.
I put tt1167611 or imdb-tt1167611 in the field name but not associte any film.
Thx
Hmm, this worked for me:
@tom80H Could the file format have anything to do with it? Doesn’t seem likely, but I don’t have any .avi files to test with.
Plex should digest AVI files just fine.
I tested this on my own server with a renamed text file.
Movies
non essere cattivo (2015)
non essere cattivo (2015).avi
Plex added that file immediately to the library and matched it to the correct movie.
Ok, so something else is going on. I’m on a linux server, Malebolge is on Synology. Something in the Synology environment? I have no experience there.
May I have the file name exactly as it exists?
I will try to recreate here
Non Essere Cattivo (2015).avi
I think is a problem connection from my server to agent server.
I only noticed now that even the episode titles of the TV series and the plots are absent
Thx
