I’ve got the Get Smart box set. Tried adding a “featuettes” folder like for movies, no go. Tried doinf them as s00, but that separates them and it doesn’t pull metadata.
I reading the naming guide and that’s all I could seem to find to try

Per-season extras are currently only visible in mobile clients i.e. Plex for iOS and Plex for Andoid mobile.
(At least I think this is what happens. If you have actually named the folder featuettes, you won’t see anything at all.
)
Okay, if I’m not supposed to label it featurettes, what am I supposed to label it
Otto’s point was more to ask on what platform / with what Plex client you’re checking this. Any season-tier extras will only be visible in Plex for iOS and Plex for Android (mobile) – so… if you’re testing with Plex Web or another client (except for Plex for iOS and Plex for Android mobile), you won’t see any of them.
I have added tons of local extras to my shows following the official naming schema – for shows, seasons and episodes. The extras are showing up fine on all supported clients.
Would you mind clarifying
So I was testing it on Windows, but after his comment I also tested it on Android, to no effect. Can you tell me exactly which part of the naming scheme I’m supposed to be looking at? I keep getting lost.
This is working for me:
However, as stated above, you will only be able to see these on Andoid mobile.
My remark above was due to the missing r in “featurettes” in your initial post.
After adding or changing local extras, you need to Refresh Metadata of the whole show for Plex to recognise them.
Yeah this is my filename setup. Where in the app should I see it? I’ve got nothing on the show page or the season page.
Side note, why does it scan my entire library when I hit “scan library” now instead of just scanning the new stuff like it used to?

Here’s the official article. By the look of it, what you set up should work (I don’t have local extras).
So the next thing to look at is what player are you checking this on? You said “Android”, but that covers a lot of different players, including set-top boxes like Nvidia Shield that would not work for this. Particularly, Android tablets/phones, and iOS tablets/phones are the only supported devices for season-level extras (No, I don’t know why only mobile devices get to see them).
Edit: About scanning entire folder. Near as I can tell, it’s always done that if you do a manual scan of your library. It will quickly run through all folders, but it has to do so to look for “date changed” metadata to see if there are any changes.
If your videos are local to your server/device, Plex can do an automatic scan when changes are made, and that scan will ONLY scan the folders that triggered the change. Perhaps that got turned off? Settings > Library > Scan my library automatically
I’m using the Android mobile app, on Android 12, on a Google Pixel 6.
I’m using the naming scheme that I showed in the screenshot above, and I am not seeing any special features in the area you have indicated.
Which metadata agent is selected in the properties of your tv show library?
It will only work with “Plex TV series”.
Did you Refresh Metadata of the whole show? (that is not “Scan Library…”)
Ayy, the old metadata refresh worked. Thank you
