Adding Support For Half Seasons Between Canonical Seasons

There are a lot of shows that half seasons between canonically numbered seasons, so while I can totally throw off the season count by making season 2.5 Season 3 and a Season 3 as 4, but it would be nice to have a way to either add midseasons or force the misnumber seasons to display a name of my choosing.

While Plex doesn’t support “true” half seasons, you can edit the season and adjust the title:

And if TMDB/TVDB has season titles set, those should also be pulled in automatically if enabled in your library settings:

In addition to the above, there’s an existing suggestion for Plex to support more granular season/episode numbering.

Having seen that thread after trying to avoid duplication, that is definitely what I would ultimately want, so I have moved my vote from my thread to theirs.

DTR’s solution helps eliminates confusion in my library in the meantime.
