Hi, this is a very strange issue for me. My managed users can all access plex, both locally and remotely. I the admin cannot. The server is showing as unclaimed, my collections do not show up, It won’t let me connect to update.

The strangest thing is when I am on Plex.Tv and i go to login, I get an error page. this page will let me login on any computer but the one the server is hosted on. I’m at wits end on this one. I’ve reset dns, i have no security software installed, i have a vpn but it is not running. Any help would be so appreciated.

When using the roku or plex web (on computer server is hosted) none of the users show up, just the admin account (with no profile picture) and Add user, when on the roku, all accounts show up but if i log into my admin account, none of my files are present.

I’ve included some relevant screenshots:

Thank you so much in advance for any help offered.

Have you tried to login to the PMS server from a Web Browser right on that system…
PMSipAddress:32400/web

Yes, thats the way that will not work. I can log in on every computer but the computer the server is on. If I try to claim server from another computer it will not work either.

another wrinkle, on server computer I cannot access http://app.plex.tv/ it goes straight to googles error page (chrome) (the site can’t be reached) this works on every other device in house so I’m thinking theres something on my windows install blocking this site. I have nothing installed that would be doing this.

Solved: At one point I installed VPNBypass to get plex to tunnel through my vpn. It modified my hosts file and redirected app.plex.tv to localhost for some reason. Deleting my hosts file got everything back up and running.
