just wondering why ads are a thing for the lifetime plex pass holders. Actually any plex pass holders to be fair. Makes sense for free accounts but most people pay for subscriptions so they dont have to get ads. would love to know if this is going to change.
assuming you are referring to the free live tv/on demand content, the ads are there for everyone, and it is not going to change.
if you do not like that content, you can disable in your plex account settings.

Why ads? Will having a Plex Pass remove them?
Our goal is to bring a wide assortment of channels—from kids shows, anime, sports, movies, and more—from around the globe to you for free. In exchange, we’re asking for a bit of your time to watch some ads.
Since ad revenue is how the studios and distributors get paid, having a Plex Pass will not remove ads or reduce their frequency.
Paying a premium already lacks any actual support from Plex. Fortunately the Community fills this gaping hole for the most part.
And now those of us paying for a premium experience are forced fed ads to support the organization’s intent to provide more steaming content.
But, seriously, WHO asked for more streaming content on our plex systems? I doubt anyone actually wanted or wants this.
Adding insult to injury is the streaming content offered is the worst of the worst available, C-grade content at best.
Great customer experience.
Don’t want it? Turn it off.
