Data18-Content help request:
I must be missing something (not the 1st time for me)....
I have tried a variety of naming variations, read this thread, read the source on github, and found matches on www.data18.com/content. I cannot seem to get a match when using the Data18-Content bundle.
I have found this title at... www.data18.com/content/1146202
Based on the documentation I have read, I tried this name for the directory and mp4 file "Marika Hase, Tyler Nixon in X-art - ■■■ In Get Wet (2014)"
I have also tried variations of this file name but without any luck in finding a match using the data18-content agent.
I have also tried with other files with no luck in matching.
Another example: www.data18.com/content/1144745 My file/folder name = "Morgan Lee, Jessy Jones in Naughty America Network - Asian 1on1 (2014)" - no match found.
I am asking you if you would share a list of file names that work for you. An assortment from various web sites would be great (x-art, brazzers etc). A list of web sites that data18 stores information for is here: www.data18.com/sites/
I think I am close to getting it to work. I just need a little direction.
Thanks for sharing.
Hey nixsoft,
data18-Content works in 2 ways.
1) Name your file after the title on the content page of data18.
If you can search on the site for content with the title of the content, than that is how you want to name your file.
X-art seems to be indexed in this way.
So if you go to the website, Data18.com, and type in "■■■ in get wet" into the search, you will get a result.
This is when you name your file simply, "■■■ in get wet."
2) Name your file after the "actress in site".
If you can NOT search on the site for content with the title of the content, than you must name your file using the actress in site method.
this is just a workaround because Data18 doesn't index all of it's content titles. If #1 doesn't work, than you must use #2.
This isn't the most user friendly solution, but it does work for most titles.
There is a pull request on git for a fully different data18-content solution that users have spoken of in this thread. It has had mixed results, but you are more than welcome to give that a try. If it works for you it will be more user friendly on the file names.
Your second example must use the #2 method.
www.data18.com/content/1144745
Your file name should be "Morgan Lee in Asian 1on1." (obviously would be mp4, avi, wma etc.)
After upgrading to the latest plex server 0.9.11.12, newly added content doesn't have the ability to be manually matched. Old Content does still have the ability, any ideas why?
I'm pretty new to this data18-content scraping.
Right now i have been trying a loooong time to scrap this video http://www.data18.com/content/1113013 but no luck. Is it possible to scrap all videos or is there some videos that can't be done?
@jobenso try deleting data18-content and reinstalling.
@silen, that file should just be called “girlfriends”. You will get lots of results and will have to locate the correct one.

Ahh thank you!
Finally I found that one. I think I'm starting to get this now..
So how do I name the folder structure/files for multiple episodes from a website?
Example
Haze Her http://www.data18.com/sites/haze_her/
or
Brazzers Hot and Mean http://www.data18.com/sites/brazzers/hot_and_mean/
I've tried creating parent folders that match. I've tried just naming the file the name of the episode. I can't get it to match/populate metadata.
Thanks
If you read my posts in this thread you should be fine
Read everything, still cant get a match for some stuff using the content bundle. IE http://www.data18.com/content/369711 or http://www.data18.com/content/194752
Tried:
Lily Lane in Strap On Mayhem.mp4
Lily Lane in BurningAngel - Strap On Mayhem.mp4
Lily Lane in Burning Angel - Strap On Mayhem.mp4
Lily Lane in Strap On Mayhem - BurningAngel.mp4
Lily Lane in Strap On Mayhem - BurningAngel.mp4
I can get stuff to match when the name of the scene matches. But I have yet to get one to match when I have to do it based on actress name/site/scene.
I've noticed a lot of the matching issues occur when there is punctuation in the title. It seems like periods and apostrophe's get dropped when performing the search. However the punctuation is included and required by data18 when you search manually. I even tried the search term in quotes to try to include the punctuation. No luck.
A few days ago I was able to get matches with Data18-Contet. But now I can't get a single match. I have read all posts and get the tips to change IP. I have my plex media server on a NAS, then i need to change the IP from the NAS or is it from the computer?
Silen,
I have noticed that after so many hits, data18 seems to block your IP, which is undesirable at best, I work around it by logging into a VPN but that will only hold so much
I did an update to Data-18.bundle. it has been updated in GitHub. you can install the update using the Unsupported AppStore Channel.
Fixed: a bunch of data wasn't mapping anymore (title, summary, studio, director, etc.).
New: Added the ability to ignore numbers, so if you had numbered files to retain a certain order (say you have a series of movies that have different names like 01 title, 02 differentTitle) the search will now ignore the number on the front. seems to work well.
This one should have worked:
Lily Lane in Burning Angel - Strap On Mayhem.mp4
if not, drop the stuff after BurningAngel and it should work.
Lily Lane in Burning Angel.mp4
Or try something like
Lily Lane in Burning Angel [Strap On Mayhem].mp4
The important thing is :
in .
EDIT
I gave it a shot and you are right it isn't working. This might have to do with the Actress being a "DEV". There is one more guy helping with bug fixes and he might have a fix for this soon.
Cheers,

The External ip needs to change.... the one your ISP assigns to you. Or use a vpn like halkon suggests.
Could you please think about adding a manual match - I really would like an option to enter the data18.com/content/number

Yep,
I was thinking about this today.
After looking through the code again, I don't think it would be that hard to add this.
I'll just need to find some time ;-)
Data18 is giving low res covers again.

Cheers,
Thanks for looking into this. +1 for a fallback option to manually match. Maybe just entering in the link to the /content/###### page?

I did a quick patch to data18.bundle to try out the id manual matching.
I did not update it to github, as it will still need a little work.
I think the data18-content will be a little trickier as well.
So if you want to give this a try, simply unzip this file and copy it over the one that is in your data18.bundle for movies.
If it causes problems, then just reinstall data18.bundle from the unofficial app store or overwrite this file with a backup.
__init__.zip (6.2 KB)
EDIT:
I should have mentioned that you would just enter in the numeric ID in the title column.
